Also take a bit longer than my other Samsung DVD player to load. Upscaling is great, but I had one problem, I would have to constantly plug unplug the USB port from my external hard drive to have the player recognize the hard drive.
I have alot of double sided DVD, probably 75% of my movie collection is on double-sided DVDs.So, I would say it lacks some performance for power users. Seems to give up playing after 3-4 hours of straight movie watching. At first I thought it was my new TV, but the TV played just fine. The other thing I noticed is that it doesn't seem to like double-sided DVD. It's in a well ventilated area so I'm not sure why it may be overheating or something.
I've had the player for just over 3 months. And the double sided DVD thing is killing me. This is where it locks up the most. And, I have probably powered through 1000+ hours of videos.
The TV screen just turns to a red screen. I've had to use another DVD player on many occasions to finish watching a movie. Mostly DVDs playing in the background since I can't seem to get the player to hold the signal to the receiver to play a CD for any extended period of time. Then, I have to turn it off and wait a couple of hours or the next day.
I hope I can change the Unit for a new one. I'm from Costa Rica, when I receive this unit it's works fine for 2 days, but after that, anytime that I play any disc, a NO DISC ERROR shows on the LED Screen.
best picture quality excellent sound and very good aesthetics.price is very low.easy to convert to all region
You can see some very obvious hazing/fuzziness of distant objects. Decent quality picture. Overall, for a model in the $50 - $70 dollar range i think it is a good buy. I would say upscaling quality is closer to a 720p than a 1080i (but i am no expert). Menu/option screens linger a bit longer than i prefer. Upscaling is decent but not optimal.
